Laatste dag alweer

Honolulu, Hawaii 2

Today we went to the dole plantation which was an awesome experience. We went into the maze (which was awesome and a fun experience) and we did a guided tour of the garden which was at the planatation, there were some beautiful flowers and trees in the garden. I also bought a shark tooth necklace which apperantly gives you luck.

2e dag Hawaii

Vanochtend lekker rustig aangedaan. De kinderen sliepen langer, het is ook snachts nog erg warm. Dus ze hadden de airco midden in de nacht aangezet. Dieuwe is zelfs even buiten gaan zitten. We hebben lekker ontbijt klaargemaakt, compleet met gebakken eieren.

Dole Plantation

Heerlijk net-geoogste ananas en ananasijs eten. mmmm....yummie........

We took an 1 and a half hour bus to the Dole Plantation.

We went through this maze, it was really cool! The maze was hard, you had to find eight stations where you had to trace pictures, Auke and Dieuwe won.

We also had pineapple ice-cream, that was nice.

We had a garden tour and then bought some souvenirs and then took the bus back, on the way back I was sitting next to this chines lady and she fell asleep on my lap!!!!!!!!!

Uitzicht vanaf ons balkon!

Dole Plantation

Today we went to the Dole Plantation. We got lots of pineapple. We got a tour of their garden. They have lots of flowers and we got to see how they grow pineapples. Nothing much happened today (appart from a lot of bus rides). Tomorrow we are going to Pearl Harbour.

Dinsdag in Honolulu

Honolulu, Hawaii

Thats me at the beach, returning from surfing the waves which was awesome. The waves weren't the best but I caught some of the nicer waves.

I also bought some hawaiian shorts (nice and colourfull) at Wall Mart. We used an automatic cashout machine which sucked because the scanner was awefull and it took so long with all the shopping we had done.

Day 1 in Honolulu

We went swimming in the morning. Next, we climbed up Diomand Head. It was fun, and a bit like Rangitoto on NZ.

In the afternoon we went surfing. It was great (Auke got Sea Urchins stuck in his foot).

After that we wnet shopping. I bought a Hawaiin shirt:

We had pizza for dinner.

In Honolulu!!!

The flight was great, the food was the best airplane food I have ever had (probaly because we were with Air New Zealand).    :)

I had an alright sleep, we had breakfast and then we swam, nice beach! We took a limo to Diamond head and climbed the crater, that was cool.  :P

..........Then we went.....................surfing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We went shopping and then swam in the hotel pool, (it is on the roof, their is also a spa pool!

We had pizza and then I went to bed.

Ouch, a sea urching

This is  Auke's toe after having been attacked by a sea urching: all tiny needles in his toe!

Arrived

The flight to Honolulu with Air NZ was actually the best I've experienced. Very good in-flight entertainment system, personalised, and you can pause everything. Really wide selection of music, even classical. Food was good. Recommended!

The kids liked it too.

Barely in our hotel room, and Ida is already behind the computer:

Internet access is good here, but expensive. It's $40 USD for a week. Maybe I should have tried one of the dozens of wireless hotspots they have over here.

All the bags

And indeed, we managed without too many bags!

AnneRoos blogging just before we leave

AnneRoos didn't sleep much. She woke up at 3am I believe. Here she is blogging at 6am.

Going today

I woke up very early so I read for a bit. (I suppose I am really excited)

We will have breakfast then the taxi will come and pick us up and drop us of at the airport.

WE ARE GOING TODAY, TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
